Grandma Miriam's Banana Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups cake flour (sift)
- 1 tsp baking powder (sift)
- 1 tsp baking soda (sift)
- 1/2 tsp salt (sift)
- 1/2 cups butter (cream)
- 1 1/2 cup sugar (cream)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mashed banana
- 3/4 cups sour milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Method
- Sift together 2 cups cake flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Cream 1/2 cup butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
- Add 1 egg and 1 cup mashed banana.
- Add 3/4 cup sour milk and 1 tsp vanilla. Alternately add the sifted dry ingredients and the sour milk mixture into the creamed batter, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured pan. Bake at 375°F for approximately 20 minutes.
